A deck of playing cards with musicnotes

Pigmalion vzw published a deck of playing cards with music notes. The concept is that of the regular cards. The numbers are replaced by the notes on the staff. The four colours are replaced by four different beat durations, two with white notes (replacing the red colours of the bridge cards) and two with black notes (replacing the black colour). There are two decks: one with the treble clef and one with the bass clef. Each deck has four series of thirteen cards, plus two jokers. Each game with the bridgecards (the 'regular' cards) can be played with this one.

The price of one box with two decks is 12 euro's and can be ordered online at these music shops:

In the box a little book with tips and games is added. You can print and read the text by downloading the pdf.

Click on the games below to see how it goes. The games on this page are played without the jokers, with one of the two decks. It is possible to play with the two decks together. Let the players agree to how to mention the four colours: one white or black note, two white or black notes, or one quarter, one half, etc.
